Andrew Forster, poet and literature officer with the Wordsworth Trust at Grasmere, will be talking at Cockermouth and Cleator Moor Library about how he got into poetry, and he will also introduce the work of some of the poets who are due to visit Grasmere, reading and discussing poems from their new collections.
Andrew says: Lots of people are nervous about poetry, possibly because they were put off by being forced to learn it at school, or because they feel that it needs some kind of special key to understand it, but when they are reintroduced to it as adults in different circumstances they enjoy it. This session is a chance to talk freely about poetry without having to worry about getting all the answers.

The book is set in Windermere and seven UK publishers fought a fierce battle to buy the rights to publish what has been described as an emotionally fraught psychological thriller and a shrewd examination of family life and the evil that can lie beneath.
